The Process
A popular combination of analytical team skills with an unusual construction project! This fast-paced, chaotic exercise is specifically designed to develop a full range of team skills. 

Each team needs to find a solution to 16 brainteasers - a successful team plans this stage carefully ensuring an accurate checking system to avoid re-work. They also study the problems and delegate tasks appropriately. Others may rush in, creating careless mistakes and disjointed teamwork. 

For each correct answer fed into the computer, teams are rewarded with points and a letter on screen. Wrong answers are penalised with lost points, affecting the morale of the team! The letters present an anagram of the next instruction - the construction of a .... out of basic materials.

Of course, the first team to decode this instruction will agitate all the others! Not only are some team members continuing to earn points, but others are now building something with great enthusiasm! But what is it? Again, team spirits will only be kept high if they stick to their own strategy and ignore what other teams are up to! Eventually, teams create a dramatic display of models, the heights of which are then added to their earlier points to produce a final score and a winning team! 

This exercise provides various problems for all abilities.

Participants describe it as: "challenging;" "good fun;" "frustrating when you think you know the answer and the computer says you're wrong;" "excellent competition generated with the other teams."
