"WaveRiders" manufactures inflatable dinghies - but business is sinking fast!

This business strategy game - which does not require the use of a computer - allows participants to look at an ailing company - and plan for a successful future. Teams analyse all the available information and then pick the best strategy for future growth - but will they pick the right one?

SWOT analysis
The first step is to identify what has been happening to this company over the last five years. What are its main strengths and what are its weaknesses? Key trends are visible in the figures and directors' comments are revealing. Teams can come to some initial conclusions if they put their analytical hats on. Each team presents its ideas on the SWOT analysis.

Strategic Planning - Pick a strategy
The second step is that teams are given six possible ways forward. Six strategies that the company might decide to follow. Which one will they recommend to the Board?

Ideal for introducing participants to business strategy, simple analysis of financial accounts and creative and logical thinking about the future.
